When a project takes off the specification and requirements of the particular project becomes very significant in order to make it a success. In the later stage, the instructions bestowed for the implementation of the project is basically provided by standards and protocols. In simple words, standards and protocols are basically implicit instructions which are necessary for carrying out a project successfully. It's not always compulsory to abide by the standards and protocols; however, certain amount of deviation is taken into consideration. The exact content of your website should get expressed and defined properly. Benchmarks are defined for websites so that the users of the site are properly specified. By the term protocol we basically understand the rules which regulate the basic communication between different applications and devices. The creation of any sort of communicative or logical artifacts accompanied with those communications is also governed by protocols. The web medium or internet works on a large number of such protocols. These also include HTTP (hyper-test transfer protocol), FTP (file transfer protocol), TCP/ IP (transmission control protocol/ internet protocol and secure sockets layer. By using these elements of protocols the information moves around internet and web. Working with these protocols is expected; however, these are not documented.
