Health Care in Africa is known all over the world. Africa as we already know that is the worlds second and heavily populated in this continent. There are forest and mountainous areas which attracts good turnout of tourists to the different places of Africa. There are even beaches and sea resorts located in the African continents which because of the heavy turnout of tourists sometimes which becomes heavily polluted which might cause setbacks about health of the citizens. There are various health care facilities available in all the countries of African continent. The health care facilities ranges from primary health care facilities to the private clinics and various governments run hospitals. Off late the influence of Western advancement of medical science cast a good impact upon the development of hospitals in various parts of Africa. As there are lot of expatriate health professionals domiciled in various parts of Africa so the quality has improved thereof. Anyhow all parts of South Africa are not that developed the developed has taken place in Southern Africa.

There is an association by the name of The Council of Health Services Accredit ion for South Africa (COHASA) has been instrumental in the opening of various hospitals and recruiting doctors from overseas countries to meet the standards of health care as per the global standard. There are good funding done by most of the private sector companies based in South Africa and the rest by the government of South Africa.

There is also medical tourism introduced in one African country named Morocco. In Morocco the introduction of medical tourism draws good medical tourists from other parts of the country. In Morocco, in the capital city the medical health care is offered in cheap government run clinics in Rabat, Marrakesh and some more cities of the country.

Apart from the medical tourism there are also health insurance services offered to the medical tourists. The treatment costs of major illness are much cheaper as that of costs incurred during the treatments in US and UK. It is for these reasons the health care facilities in African countries is emerging popular.
