Just couple of years back The United Nations Organization has incorporated 10 point millennium development goals. In this MDG, one of the important goals was health care for all around the globe. Same way the health care facility in Asia has been given topmost priority. In Asia there are some countries where the health care facilities are a major concern. Bulk of the populations in those countries is yet to receive proper health care facilities. Requirement of health care facilities in Asia: As per the requirement of health care facilities in Asia are concerned there are many countries who does not have the proper infrastructure facility. That is why it is always emphasized by various health bodies and health experts that proper nutrition and shelter should be provided to all the citizens of some of the Asian countries like Thailand, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives. In these countries what is strikingly noticeable that the richer sections of the populations are extracting the full benefit of the advancement in medical science whereas the middle class and the poorer sections are deprived of the basic medical services forgetting the advancement aspect. There might be several reasons for it, out of them the main reasons are financial constraints and lack of awareness. That is why there has been a mass campaigning going on regarding the health for all campaign. Most of the treatments of our ailments are done through the mode of allopathic treatments.
As per Company reimbursement facilities are concerned there are many companies who reimburse medical expenses to the employees in service and during post retirement phase, some reimburse the facilities only during the service periods and after the post retirement phase most of them make use of the health insurance facilities. That is why the health insurance is emerging important in most countries of Asia so bring some happiness and peace about the health care. Health care for the aged: In the Asian countries the health care facilities are also given special emphasis for the elderly and the aged persons. In the Asia countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal it has been noted with dismay that elders and the old persons are badly neglected. In this case special provisions have been made for them. There are lots of old age homes available in several Asian countries. In those homes the aged persons are provided with the necessary medical facilities by various philanthropic and charitable organizations to make them happy and smiling in their last days. Role of Doctors in the pursuit of health care in Asia: The doctors of Asian countries are nowadays sympathetic towards the cause of the citizens of Asian countries. Especially regarding the treatment to elders, the poverty stricken and the illiterate persons the doctors are very sympathetic towards the patients cause. Any how the health care facilities in Asia are on the improving trend with citizens are getting the fair share of the treatment facilities. |
