Process of rendering health services in Europe: The heath care facilities in Europe is managed by private agencies named The European Observatory of Health Systems and Policies is engaged in the task of promoting and up grading the health care facilities in various parts of Europe. This association runs in collaboration between World Heath Organization's regional offices in all the European countries and the governments of Belgium, Finland, Greece, Norway, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. There are also other co-partners involved in this regard like the Veneto region of Italy, The European Investment Bank, the Open Society Institute, the World Bank, The London School of Economics and Political Science and finally The London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. The functions of the Observatory comprises of a Steering Committee, research policy group and staff. The head office has been set up in Brussels and has branch offices in London and Berlin. There are patients travel to various parts of Europe for treatment of critical ailments which has no treatments in other countries.
Payment processes to different health care systems in Europe: There are two types of payment procedures in Europe. These are Informal Payments and Formal Payments. In the case of two forms of payments there lies the differentiation between individual payments and payments by third parties. In the case of informal payments are made by private parties who make the parties as a token of remuneration whereas in the case of formal payments it is made by the patients individually make the payments and then claim from the company or from various health insurance agencies. In the case of payments through formal modes of payments there does not exist any confusion whereas in the case of informal payment procedures there arise all sorts of confusion in regard to the payments to hospitals and the doctors. There are also other problems implied in the case of informal mode of payments. There is also another process by which the health care processes are analyzed through the system of Health Systems in Transition profiles. It contains detailed information about the health care system in various European countries. Though economic recession has started in Europe still it is heartening to note that the European Health Care System is rising to new heights. |
