Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is one of the main types of Yogas that are practiced throughout the whole world. Hatha Yoga is also known to people by the term of Hatha Vidya. The practice of Hatha Yoga was introduced mainly in India during the 15th century. This was one of the main practice that was done by the Hindu Yogis in this country. There are lots of significances of this Yoga practices. The primary reason for this Hatha Yoga is to increase the power of concentration in the mind of people.

As far as this can be known the terms that are used for the Hatha Yoga have evolved from the two different words and they are Ha which meant sun and on the other hand, Tha meant moon in the ancient language that was in use in India. There were previously several kinds of hymns that were used during the time of meditation. Among them the main hymns were about the primary rivers (Nadi) in this country. According to the dictionary in Sanskrit, the term "hatha" has relation to the forcefully doing something.

All these practices of Hatha Yoga were done with the purpose of increasing the amount of physical as well as mental strength in the human bodies.

There are several Sanskrit texts that have been found throughout this country where all the main things about the Hatha Yoga are written. According to these theories Hatha Yoga is related to the practice of several things that are related to the Hindu religion.

But today, apart from the religious background the concentration has been more on the effects of this Yoga practice. There are several benefits that are found among the those who practice this Hatha Yoga. Among them the most mentionable one is that Hatha Yoga is such a practice which is able to increase the power of concentration in anyone's mind.

There are several kinds of Asanas that are practiced by the people who are interested in Hatha Yoga. There are also several kinds of restrictions that are meant for the betterment of the physical conditions of the people practicing this Yoga. Raja Yoga is also one of the main portion of the whole practice of the Hatha Yoga. There are several steps that are to be followed by the people practicing this Yoga and among them the mentionable ones are Niyama (Rules), Asana (Exercises), Pranayama (Breathing Exercises) and many things else as well. There are different kinds of Mudras that are used for the purpose of practicing the Pranayama. Kundalini is known to be the center of all the concentration of a person and that is why the main focus of Hatha Yoga is always to increase the strength of Kundalini.
