The founding of Buddhism is one of the most important Historical Events which took place at India. This took place between 563-ca. 483 B.C. The new religion which grew and received popular consideration by great monarchs in that day and age, was break through from Brahmanical Hinduism. The young prince Siddhartha, was very grieved to find suffering in the form of death, disease and age all around him. He left home to find the true meaning of life.

He sat under the "Bodhi" tree and went into deep meditation. He received enlightenment here. The new wisdom which Lord Buddha Hinduism. gained, he went on to preach. He started with a few disciples. Thereby he laid the foundations of a new religion. This was an answer to the major religion of the country. In Brahmanical Hinduism, the priests had a lot of expectations from the people. Thus Buddhism was eagerly received by the people especially the people of the lower castes who were treated unfairly by the other castes.
The Enlightened One spread the message that the cause of all suffering was desire. The development and foundation of this religion marks an important stage in the religious, cultural and political history of India. It is one of the significant Historical Events. The religion even spread to Central Asia.
The Reformation is also one of the important Historical Events in the history of mankind. It saw Christianity diversifying into two different different branches altogether.
