Tourist Attractions in Nigeria

Nigeria is officially regarded as the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is a federal constitutional republic comprising thirty-six states and one Federal Capital Territory. The Nigerian coast lies on the Gulf of Guinea, part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the south. Nigeria is the eighth most populous in world and the most populous in Africa. Nigeria comes in the list of "Next Eleven" economies. Abuja is the capital city of Nigeria. There are many famous destinations and Tourist Attractions in Nigeria. The country is famous for its biodiversity. Nigeria is surrounded of some of the important areas including the Calabar, Cross River State.

Tourists from different corners of world visit Nigeria and explore its famous destinations and exotic locations. All the locations in the country are famous for having some specialties. Though there are many such locations and place of Tourist Attractions in Nigeria only few are discussed as below:

Lake Chad: Lake Chad is another famous destination among the tourist attractions in Nigeria. The lake serves three different countries including the Niger, Cameroon, and Chad. The lake attracts a large number of tourists coming from various parts.

Ogbunike Cave: The Ogbunike Cave in Nigeria is considered as the wonder of nature. The entire cave is segmented into sections and is found in the Anambra State. Different stories are related with the subsections of the Ogbunike Cave.

Yankari National Park: The Yankari National Park is regarded as the most developed wildlife park in Nigeria. It includes different attractions provided for its visitors. The park is famous for the variety of animals it has. though the tourists visit the park all through the year but the best time to visit it when the animals are better watched is between November and May period of the dry season when the animals converge around the Gaji River, Baboons, Waterbucks, Elephants, Crocodiles, Bushbucks, Duikers, Warthogs, Hippopotamus are among the animals frequently seen at the park.

Wikki Warm Springs: The Wikki Warm Springs is the most famous tourist attraction located in the Yankari National Park. This famous destination has been considered and visited for its warm water. It is available both night and day for tourists who cherish swimming. This national park is located in the South -Eastern area of Bauchi, the capital town of Bauchi State in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria.

Azumini Blue River Rose: The Azumini Blue River Rose is located in the Abia State. The river is more famous and visited as a tourist resort due to its pleasant surrounding. The river is famous for its attractive features which includes crystal-clear blue water; canoe rides; sandy beaches.

Sillicon Hill: This very famous Sillicon hill is located near the campus of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. it is an important mineral deposit in Nigeria.

Other famous destinations include the Mbari Cultural Centres, Oguta Lake Holiday Complex, Birnin Kudu Rock Painting, NOK Village, Agbokim Waterfalls, Obudu Cattle Ranch, lgbo-Ukwu, Ibeno Beach, Yola Municipality, and The Long JuJu Shrine of Arochukwu.
