Located in East Africa, Tanzania is a country blessed of all natural beauty. The region is by Kenya and Uganda in the north Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the west, and Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique on the south. The eastern portion of the continent is bordered by the Indian Ocean. Tanzania has been named after its mainland part Tanganyika and the Zanzibar islands off its east coast. The country comprises several oldest human settlements which were unexplored by the archaeologists. The entire African region has many outstanding adventure travel destinations but in Tanzania there is only one. Tanzania has the plains of the Serengeti and the snows of Kilimanjaro with the spiritual isle of Zanzibar. There are many famous locations and tourist attractions in Tanzania to be visited the most famous is the Serengeti that offers the splendid Eden of Ngorongoro, a 20-mile-wide volcanic crater appearing as home to an extraordinary concentration and diversity of wildlife. Proceeding your journey towards the west of Serengeti are the shores of Lake Victoria; the largest lake on the African continent and is one of the most important headwater reservoirs of the Nile. Towards the southwest portion of the Lake Victoria lies the Lake Tanganyika which is considered as the longest and the deepest freshwater lake in the world after the Baikal.

The northeast Tanzania is a region full of mountains including the Mt. Meru (14,979 ft/4,566 m) and Mount Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft./5,895 m). The place also include the Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa and of course the most breathtaking mountain similarly the Serengeti National park located in the west of the peaks of Mt. Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro offers the most magnificent scope of tourist attractions in Tanzania and is considered as the greatest concentration of the migratory game animals in the world like 200,000 zebra.


Not only the Serengeti and the mountains there are many other scopes of traveling and sightseeing. It is a place that can be visited during every season of course the most favored time of visiting the country is in July and August the time when the weather becomes cool. Another favored time of tourist visit is during December and January when the weather becomes hot and attracts many tourists from different nook and corners of world. If you visit the southwest portion of the Lake Tanganyika which is a mountainous region including the Lake Malawi the third largest lake on the continent. In the eastern portion of the Lake Malawi is located the vast expanded area of the Selous Game Reserve, the largest in Africa with over 21,000 sq. mi. (55,000 sq. km.) the entire area has more than 50,000 elephants. Though there are many parks and safaris here but the most common tourist attractions in Tanzania include Arusha, Dar Es Salaam, Kigoma, Kilwa, Zanzibar, Bukoba, Iringa, Mafia Island, Musoma, Masasi, Dodoma, Lindi, Shinyanga, Mtwara, Tanga, Pemba Island, Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro, Sumbawanga, Mbeya, Nachingwea, Mwanza, Songea, Tabora.
