Alaska

Alaska is one of the most important states in the United States of America. This place is located in the extreme northwest part of the North American continent. The economy of Alaska is heavily dependent on the petroleum extraction and due to this, almost 80% of the total revenues of the state is derived from this industry. Except the oil and natural gas, the main export of Alaska is its seafood. Agriculture does not play a much leading role in determining the status of the economy of Alaska. The agricultural production is primarily used for the purpose of the consumption of the inhabitants who are living within the state and the scope of agricultural production is inclusive of dairy products, nursery stock, vegetables and livestock. People who are dependent over the process of employment are primarily consumed by the government sectors and industries, which includes the extraction of natural resource, shipping and transportation business.
The culture of Alaska and its cosmopolitanism has given Alaska a separate niche of its own. The state of Alaska is known for its cultural diversity. Educationally this state is quite rich and it is home to some of the most famous libraries of U.S. The main libraries which are located in this state are the the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library in Fairbanks, Alaska State Library in Juneau, the Z. J. Loussac Library and the UAA/APU Consortium Library.
This place also hosts some of the most prestigious and colorful events in all over U.S. Those events are: World Ice Art Championships, Alaska Hummingbird Festival, the Sitka Whale Fest and the Stikine River Garnet Fest. Here is something really offbeat from the traditional conception of bird assembly in the form of largest springtime gathering of American Bald Eagles in the world. The Stikine River is famous in the whole world for the spectacular phenomenon.
